April 2015 Students of the Month

12th Grade ~ Cameran Dodge

Cameran was nominated by Mr. Finger.
When asked why Cameran was nominated, Mr. Finger said:
“Cameran Dodge has really done an amazing job in honors physics recently. He has been quite the active participant in class making sure to complete all of his assignments and creating a unique and challenging project. He took the radioactive detector from a smoke detector and used its output to create a sort of random number generator. This was then used to mimic the idea of the famous Schrodinger Cat thought experiment. He has been helpful to other students and is always respectful to his teachers and peers. He really exemplifies the four pillars of the Suncoast Polytechnical High School.”

11th Grade ~ Christopher Brower

Christopher was nominated by Mr. Miller.
When asked why Christopher was nominated, Mr. Miller said:
“Chris Brower is respectful, works great with others, and always has his assignment done.  Other students will go to Chris for help because they know he works so hard in all of his classes.   Chris takes pride in himself and this helps the entire class.  It has been a pleasure to teach a student of the caliber of Chris for the past two years.”

10th Grade ~ Jessica Paumier

Jessica was nominated by Mr. Bellón.
When asked why Jessica was nominated, Mr. Bellón said:
“It is my great pleasure to recognize Jessica Paumier, as our S.P.H.S. Student Of The Month, for Tenth Grade for April, 2015.
Aside from being a great student, Jessica is also a terrific person. She personifies all the pillars for academic excellence, hard work, service, responsibility, and work habits. She does all this with the best attitude and a wonderful sense of humor.
Jessica is always there with a kind word, an encouraging and helpful word. She is always ready to “lend a hand” to a fellow student, teacher, or staff member. Honest, dependable, and trustworthy, Jessica is also a great role model.
Jessica Paumier deserves this honor for “Student of the Month”, and much, much more.”

9th Grade ~ Colin Meyer

Colin was nominated by the 9th Grade Team.
When asked why Colin was nominated, Ms. Argentina said:
“Throughout the year, Colin has been a model for his peers.  He is always prepared and focused, not only on his own success, but that of his fellow classmates.  He is always willing to lend a hand to a fellow student in understanding new concepts.  He is an active participant in class and on-line discussions, always offering a unique insight.  He is respectful of his teachers, peers, and the opportunities offered in each of his classes. With a quiet demeanor and determination, he excels in all of his classes.  Colin's selection as the 9th grade student of the month for April was a unanimous decision among all of his 9th grade teachers.”
