11th Grade ~ Megan McDaniels
Megan was nominated by Ms. Mills. When asked why she nominated Megan, Ms. Mills said:
“Megan is the junior class Student of the Month because she exemplifies the four cornerstones of SPHS. In and out of my Advanced Placement Language & Composition class Megan is respectful of differing opinions, people's schedules & time, and of herself. As such, she holds herself to high expectations in her detail-oriented class work, at her part-time job at Papa John's, and in her personal life. Her timeliness, attention to detail, and work-ethic are internally motivated and are done for the learning experience, not just for the grade - a teacher's dream. Her generous nature is shown daily to peers, and adults alike, in her willingness to share sustenance, knowledge, a ride-home, and her kindness. Megan exemplifies an excellent and dedicated student but is also an active and thoughtful young lady who takes part in family and civic activities. SPHS is a better place because she is a part of us!”

“Kaylee exemplifies what it means to be a Student of the Month here at Polytech. She is first and foremost respectful, of herself and of others in her work and her demeanor. She's extremely responsible, being a very conscientious student which is evidenced by her grades! She never comes in with a reason her work was late or why she couldn't quite get it done; it's just done! She's an active participant in the classroom, but always in a meaningful way and she's always willing to serve others around her by helping anyone who asks. She's a delight in a classroom and it is our great pleasure to recognize this young woman as the 9th grade's Student of the Month for January 2015!”
